Those Members who are Sick:

• Continue to keep Mary Alyce Rosenberg in your thoughts and prayers. Also keep Grover Mills in your thoughts and prayers.

• Continue to keep Regenia Wingfield in your thoughts and prayers. Regenia has been suffering with numerous health issues recently and has been unable to attend services

• Continue to keep Lynda Hedrick's brother, Raymond Duncan in your thoughts and prayers. Raymond has returned to the Red Bank Life Care, Room 122-A. He is still working through several health problems.

• Continue to keep Steve (and April) Anderson in your thoughts and prayers. Steve received some very serious news about some medical tests on his liver recently and will be getting a second opinion in the near future.

• Continue to keep Emily Oakley's dad, Harold Hines , in your thoughts and prayers. Mr. Hines has been through several surgeries over the last week or two and is continuing to do as well as can be expected. The family wants everyone to know they really appreciate all of the cards, calls, etc, and especially the prayers in their behalf. • Please keep David Schwiger in your thoughts and prayers. David is scheduled to undergo knee replacement in mid-August.

• Please keep Dale Edmunds in your thoughts and prayers. Dale is currently at Park Ridge Hospital and is now under Hospice care.

• Our love and sympathy is given to the family of Lynn Anderson and Jenny Crowell, in the death of their Great Uncle Mr. Hale of Dutton , Alabama . He passed away unexpectedly after a farming accident last week. His funeral was also conducted last week. Please keep these families in your thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time for all of them.

• Bentley Bamburg wanted everyone to know that a man in his neighborhood was shot and killed over a robbery on Wednesday, July 21 st . Please keep this family in your thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time for all of them.

• Please keep Alyssa Smith , the great grand-daughter of Roy and Bobbie Cox and her Mother, Misty Smith in your thoughts and prayers. (Misty is the daughter of Patty Yother – Roy and Bobbie Cox daughter).


Alyssa, who is 11 years old, is scheduled for open heart surgery this week at Vanderbilt Hospital . Alyssa was born with a birth defect to her heart and due to her age now needs to have it repaired. Please keep this family in your thoughts and prayers this week as they undergo this very delicate surgery.

• Please keep John McCormick , a close friend of the Braly's, in your thoughts and prayers this week. John is scheduled to have a similar surgery, like Glen had this past April, on Wednesday, August 4 th at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville . I'm sure anyone finding themselves with such an upcoming complex surgery is very uneasy about the expected outcome and what the future will hold. Please take a moment this week and send John (and his wife Nancy) a card of encouragement to let them know that they are loved and we will be saying a special prayer for them during this very difficult time. • Please keep Rosalee Blevins in your thoughts and prayers. Rosalee has been dealing with several health issues lately.

Special Events and Birthdays:

A special thanks to everyone who was involved in making this year's Vacation Bible School such a success. We could not have put on this program all week without the willingness of all our volunteers. Know in your heart that you have contributed a great deal in spreading God's word throughout our church family and surrounding neighborhood. Attendance throughout the week was:

Sunday Night – 159; Monday Night – 142; Tuesday Night – 125 and Wednesday Night 164.

The Singles and Widows (W.I.N.G.S.) will meet on Tuesday, August 10 th at 6:30 to go out for dinner. They will be meeting at Wild Buffalo Wings (the new one on Hwy. 153). Please see Pat Mayfield for additional information.

On Tuesday night, August 3 rd , we will have a congregational meeting at the church building from 7:00 o'clock PM until 9:00 o'clock PM . Please mark your calendars now to attend this event.

Emily Bamburg and James J. D'Amico, Jr. will be united in marriage on Saturday, August 7 th at the Central Church of Christ at two o'clock in the afternoon. A reception will follow at the Church Fellowship Hall.
