The New Year 2012
When a New Year begins, we often take time to evaluate our lives with purpose of making some positive changes. Here are some simple suggestions you have probably heard before. They can change your life, or your influence can change someone's life:
This year, think first of someone else.
Take pleasure in the beauty of the earth.
Write a letter to an elderly relative or shut-in.
Thank God for what you are and what you have, whether it is great or small.
Mend a quarrel. Give a soft answer.
Seek out a forgotten friend. Keep a promise. Find the time for them.
Dismiss suspicion, and replace it with trust.
Forgo a grudge. Forgive an enemy.
Apologize. Listen. Try to understand.
Examine your demands on others.
Express your gratitude to others. Be kind, be gentle.
Laugh a little. Laugh a little more. Pray for peace.
Be a peacemaker. Go to worship
This year put God where He belongs in your life – first.
Obey His Word. (Revelation 1:3 – Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for this time is at hand.)
